REAR: ONE dead Willow (T1)(approx.ht.12m) FELL to 4m monolith. Reason: the tree has died, a 4m monolith will be left as standing deadwood for habitat. REPLACEMENT PROPOSAL: A native pollinator will be planted as a replacement. Duty to replace applies. Informative A: huge thank you for retaining a 4m high standing monolith for biodiversity and planting a replacement tree for amenity, wildlife, flood mitigation and to reduce increasingly high summer temperatures due to climate change, species to be selected from: wild cherry, goat willow, grey willow, field maple, strawberry tree, holly, hornbeam, wild service tree, bird cherry, common pear, small leaved lime, elder. Informative B: the landowner has a duty to plant another tree of an appropriate size and species when a tree is removed in a conservation area because it is dead or presents an immediate risk of serious harm.
