Proposal
T1 Alder. Crown reduction by 25% to reduce the overall height of the tree, whilst retaining its natural form and principal structural branches. T2 Yew. Crown reduction by 20% to reduce the overall height of the tree, whilst retaining its natural form and principal structural branches. Crown lifting by 5% to facilitate hedge growth underneath and remove branches drooping onto public pathway. T3 Beech. Crown reduction of a close concentration of 4 beech trees by 30% to reduce the overall crown spread and height, allowing increased light penetration into the recently planted garden, while retaining the tree’s natural form and principal structural branches. T4 Beech. Prune an individual beech tree to integrate it into the existing beech hedge. The works are intended to integrate the tree into the hedge line as this has been allowed to grow above all the other trees in this screening hedge. T5 Maple. Crown thinning by approximately 15% by selective removal of secondary and smaller branches throughout the crown to reduce density whilst retaining the natural shape and structural framework of the tree. Checked on 7 October 2026. The pin for this application is the centre of its postcode rather than the building, so distances to nearby designations are measured from the postcode and can be out by the width of the postcode area. Historic England, the Environment Agency, Natural England, the Planning Inspectorate and council datasets, Open Government Licence. A boundary can run through a site and the council holds the definitive record: confirm with the council before relying on this.
