Justification Statement This application seeks consent to undertake minor crown lifting and light-touch pruning works to several trees located within a managed residential scheme for elderly occupants. To improve light and visibility along the footpath used by elderly residents. To provide adequate clearance for safe pedestrian access. Works are minimal and do not involve the removal of primary branches. G4 ? Group of 3x Copper Norway Maple Crown lift by removing secondary and sub-lateral branch growth only to achieve approximately 3.0 m vertical clearance over the footpath and car parking areas. Justification: To allow more natural light into the properties and communal areas. To increase safety by improving visibility for pedestrians and vehicle manoeuvring. To raise the crown uniformly without altering the trees? natural shape. Individual pruning wounds will not exceed 50 mm. T2 ? Western Red Cedar Crown lift by removing secondary and sub-lateral branches only to achieve approximately 4.0 m vertical clearance above the footpath. Justification: To improve light levels and reduce shading to nearby dwellings. To ensure safe clearance for pedestrians, mobility scooters, and maintenance access.
