26/02857/TPO - Application to fell/lop TPO trees Awaiting decision

Proposal

Oak tree - 1st crown lifted to remove small epicormic growth and the two lowest branches. One branch has interfered with the roof of a neighboring structure. The second is hanging low over the lawn. By removing these, the canopy will be raised without impacting on the aesthetics or overall shape. 2nd crown reduction via thinning by approx. 20%, this can be achieved by selecting appropriate pruning points that will allow the tree to branch naturally going forward and reducing the likelihood of excessive secondary growth. Also providing a smaller and less dense canopy. Data via plota.co.uk

Checked on 6 October 2026. The pin for this application is the centre of its postcode rather than the building, so distances to nearby designations are measured from the postcode and can be out by the width of the postcode area. A boundary can run through a site and the council holds the definitive record: confirm with the council before relying on this.
