BH2026/02146 - Treeworks on Preserved Trees (Felling) Registered

Proposal

T1 - Holm Oak Proposed Works Fell the Holm oak to ground level. Reason for Works The tree's roots are causing damage to the existing drainage system, resulting in blockages. The tree has a noticeable lean towards a frequently used college seating area and is growing on raised ground which drops away significantly behind the tree. It is suspected that the ground behind the tree may have been historically excavated or altered, which could have affected the supporting root system. Due to the drainage damage, location, lean and concerns regarding the root system, removal is considered the most appropriate long-term management option. Data via plota.co.uk
