Proposal

Works to trees in a consrvation area: Mature Cherry Plum (Prunus cerasifera) approximately 8m in height. :Lateral Branch Reduction: Prune back the overhanging lateral branches extending over the applicant?s boundary line to the property boundary. All cuts will be made back to suitable, viable growth points to ensure the health of the tree is maintained. Selective Canopy Thinning (Applicant's Side Only): Selectively thin the dense overhanging canopy by a maximum of 15-20% on the applicant's side, focusing on the removal of deadwood, crossing branches, and congested foliage to improve light penetration. Constraint: No works will be carried out beyond the boundary line into the neighbouring property, and the overall height/natural form of the tree will not be altered. Reasons for Works:The mature tree heavily overhangs the applicant's garden, causing severe overshading and low clearance over the patio area. One of the branches has started to hang very low, either under weight of fruit and/or since heavy rainfall. The neighbouring property is currently vacant, however i have notified the owner via an email provided from the Great Spilman's estate group. This application is submitted to legally prune back the encroaching growth to the boundary line, alleviating the nuisance and restoring light while strictly preserving the tree's health and structural integrity.
