Proposal

T1 : Mature Cherry Tree. It is proposed to remove the mature cherry tree to ground level. The reason for the proposed removal is that the two large lower lateral limbs have a considerable amount of rot and decay and are now at an increased risk of failure. Removing these limbs would significantly alter the tree's structure and leave the remaining tree unbalanced, potentially increasing the risk of further failure. Following removal, a new cherry tree will be planted in the same location to replace the existing tree and maintain the amenity and character of the site. Data via plota.co.uk

Site constraints 5

Weston-super-Mare conservation area
Also Beach Lawns. Demolition needs planning permission and permitted development is restricted.
The council must give weight to preserving or enhancing the area's character and appearance. Not every council has published its boundaries as open data.
Article 4 direction
Great Weston Conservation Area, Weston-super-Mare. Named permitted development rights are withdrawn here.
An Article 4 direction withdraws particular permitted development rights, so work that would normally need no application needs one here. Not every council has published its directions.
