26/01531/TPO - Tree Preservation Order Current

Proposal

Copper Beech. Location: Rear garden of, to the left of the house. The tree is mature and overhangs the roof of the house. Size: Approx. 20m in height with a broad spreading crown. Condition: The tree is generally healthy and well-established, but its canopy has extended significantly over the house. Several branches are in direct contact with the roof and guttering. The dense canopy is also creating heavy shade and contributing to damp conditions on the roof and walls of the building. Cut back lateral branches to achieve a clearance of at least 5m from the house. Selective crown reduction on the southern aspect (by up to 3-5m) to prevent ongoing contact with the roof, house and gutters. Removal of any dead, crossing or damaged branches within the canopy. Reason for works: To prevent physical damage to the house caused by branches in contact with the roof and guttering. To reduce excessive shading of the property, which is contributing to damp. To maintain the health and structural balance of the tree. Data via plota.co.uk
