Proposal

Reduce clump of 5 large mature Holme Oak trees on the raised bank next to the property. Applying to cut back the side facing the house by 2.5m and the top by 2.5m. There is one Holme Oak that is right next to the shed and is leaning heavily towards the neighbours garden so applying to cut that one back by 2.5m on the neighbours side as well. No cuts larger than 100mm on the Oaks. Trees labelled T1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 on site plan. Similar work was carried out 7 or 8 years ago. Reduce a Yew tree that is next to the shed and Holme Oaks that is heavily weighted and leaning towards the neighbours side. Applying to cut that back by 2.5m on the neighbours side. Labelled T6 on the site plan and is within the larger circle for the Holme Oak clump mentioned above. The tree has been supressed by other trees in the area so is weighted over the neighbours side Ash tree with sparse crown and suspected Dieback by the roadside on a bank labelled T7 on the site plan. Applying to cut down and fully remove due to its proximity to the road. Holme Oak at bottom of the garden, there are 2 large limbs overhanging the rear neighbours property that is a significant drop down, applying to reduce the 2 largest limbs going over the boundary by 2.5m to take weight out of the limbs to prevent future failure. The tree has been supressed by other trees in the area so is weighted over the neighbours side. Tree labelled T8 on site plan Two Ash trees labelled T9 and T10 on site plan at bottom of garden next to Holme Oak. Both are sparse canopies and showing signs of Dieback, so given there location on a steep bank and overhanging another neighbours property, applying to cut down and remove fully. The tree has been supressed by other trees in the area so is weighted over the neighbours sid Data via plota.co.uk

Site constraints 4

Nutrient neutrality catchment: Solent: Includes Chichester and Langstone Harbours SPA/Ramsar, Solent and Southampton Water SPA/Ramsar, Solent Maritime SAC, Portsmouth Harbour SPA/Ramsar
New homes and overnight accommodation must show nutrient neutrality before approval.
Natural England advice: extra wastewater in these catchments harms protected habitats, so schemes must offset their nutrient load, usually through credits.
