Proposed works are to reduce crown by approximately 1.5 - 2 metres, maintaining a flowing outline, observing BS 3998:2010, keeping pruning cuts greater than 30mm diameter, up to one third the diameter of the parent branch at suitable growth points, leaving the tree with a height of approximately 19 metres and spread of approximately 13 metres. Also requested is a secondary crown lift to a height of approximately 3-3.5 metres. Reasons for these works are to maintain the tree at a reasonable size suitable for location, give clearance from property, reduce end weight of branches to reduce future failures and allow light into garden property.
