Proposal

T1 Box Elder Maple (Acer negundo): Reduce the crown by approximately 25%, equating to approximately 2 metres from the height and radial spread, leaving a finished height of approximately 6 metres and a finished radial spread of approximately 3.5 metres. Crown to be reshaped to form a balanced, natural outline and remove any major deadwood and crossing or rubbing branches in accordance with BS3998:2010. If the tree is larger, another realistic option would be: Finished height: 8 metres Finished radial spread: 4.5 metres Justification: The subject tree has suffered the loss of multiple limbs and displays evidence of recent branch failure, resulting in an unbalanced crown and reduced structural integrity. The loss of these limbs has increased loading on the remaining scaffold branches and unions, creating an elevated risk of further branch failure if left unmanaged. The proposed works will rebalance the crown, reduce excessive end weight on the remaining limbs, remove torn and damaged branches, and improve light penetration through selective crown thinning. These remedial works will reduce mechanical stress on the tree, promote good wound occlusion, and assist in retaining the tree safely for the long term whilst preserving its amenity value in accordance with BS3998:2010 ?
