26/01032/TR - Lop, Top or Fell Trees Subject to a TPO Awaiting decision

Proposal

2/2/26 (W9) Weeping Willow at the front of 17 Corfton Drive. This tree has been assessed by Clifford Webb & he had initially given permission to cut it down (email 22/05/2023). However, after getting a price to have it removed I thought I would check again as a couple of years had passed. This time Clifton changed his mind, saying that it came under the description of broad leafed tree (but this does not specify a weeping willow as being on a TPO). I would like to remove the tree in their entirety for the following reasons: -It is leaning over to the neighbours drive. -There is a main sewer that runs along our drives within a few meters of the tree. Weeping willows search out water and there is a danger of the roots damaging the sewer & causing a leak which could damage the foundations of my property. -The leaves are a nuisance I have to clear up most weekends. -The tree stops natural light entering my property. - It is expensive to have tree trimmed every few years. Please see sketch plan attached to this application, where it shows the location of the trees and main sewer pipes. May I also mention the Copper Beach tree on the back left of my back garden, I would also like to remove it. It is very tall & is tangled with the neighbours silver birch. It also stops sunlight into my garden. As far as I know there are no restrictions on this tree. Please reconsider your decision for the reasons I have mentioned.
