Proposal

REAR: ONE: Apple Tree (T1) Height 7m. Fell to ground level REASON: T1 is a single stem, ivy covered tree that has been unsympathetically pruned in the past. Large diameter pruning wounds low down on the stem have opened a route for pests and diseases to enter. There are multiple Inonotus hispidus fruiting bodies present on main stem and one on the main lateral limb. The tree is in overall poor condition which is exemplified to by presence of stem decay at 40mm above ground level. REAR: ONE: Apple Tree (T2) - Height 8.5m. Fell to ground level REASON: T2 has a single stem that trifurcates at 0.5m above ground level. It is Ivy clad and has been poorly pruned in the past. Inonotus hispidus brackets are present on the main stem, at 0.5m above ground level by the unions and again at 2.5 m above ground level on central leader. Multiple historic brackets were visible on the ground below when surveyed. The tree is in an overall poor condition. REAR: ONE: Siberian Crabapple Tree (T3) Height 8m Fell to ground level REASON: T3 is a young self seeded tall and slender specimen with a one sided crown. Growing very close to the fence and underneath the shade of a neighbouring Sycamore, it has been draw upwards. T3 is growing extremely close to the boundary fence with potential to cause damage in the near future. In our opinion it is unsuitable for its position. REAR: ONE: Apple Tree (T4) Height 4m. Fell to ground level REASON: T4 is a relatively small and squat semi-mature tree growing against the fence in the north eastern corner of the site. It has a heavy stem lean to the east and rests against the fence to the north. There is a pocket of advanced decay 1.2m above ground level and multiple Inonotus hispidus brackets on main stem at 1.5m. A suitable replacement tree will be planted on site for any tree removed.
