PL/2026/05504 - Consent under Tree Preservation Orders Submitted

Proposal

T1 - Beech tree - 4m crown raise, major deadwood removal, crossing/rubbing/comprised branch removal. 3m selective limb reduction on house side. Mature beech has become a concern for elderly homeowner, low hanging branches make garden maintenance difficult, and are over hanging and in contact with surrounding fence and neighbouring shed, 4m crown raise from ground level to reduce impact on neighbouring property and home owner. Major deadwood present will be removed and crown inspected at the same time and rubbing, compromised branches reduced or removed, with the aim to remove the smallest amount possible and not to open large wounds on the stem. 3m selective limb reduction on certain over-extended limbs facing the customers house. T2 - Sycamore tree - 4m crown raise, major deadwood removal, crossing/rubbing/comprised branch removal. Mature sycamore has large sections of deadwood present, canopy inspected compromised branches to be reduced or removed, with the aim to remove the smallest amount possible and not to open large wounds on the stem. All cuts made to BS3998 standard appropriate growth points, no cuts over 3" diameter to be made unless damage/decay is present to justify. Trees appear in good health and should recover well from the suggested works. Data via plota.co.uk
