Proposal

T1 - Beech tree - The tree currently has an acceptable level of risk associated with it as no failure associated characteristics were identified during the assessment. That being said it is recommended that the tree is crown reduced. As the tree has been previously reduced a re- reduction by no more than to the previous pruning points by drop crotch reduction is recommended. This would involve reducing the crown height and spread by 2-3 m by removing branches no larger than 100-120mm diameter to suitably sized growth points. This would help reduce chances of branch failure without causing excessive losses in photosynthetic material. In particular bringing down the ?shoulders? ( just out from centre top of tree) which would reduce lever forces on primary limbs by the greatest amount in this particular instance. Data via plota.co.uk
