2026/2287 - Tree Preservation Order Registered

Proposal

Tree Preservation Order EL: - T1. Prunus avian (Cherry). Approximately 10m in height. Tree is in severe decline and has extensive deadwood throughout the house facing side of the canopy. The tree has been reduced heavily in the past and shows signs of dieback from large wounds as a result. The tree is unbalanced as it only has live branches at the top and over the neighbouring property in Claremont Drive. There are dead branches within striking distance of the patio/seating area of the site address. Proposal to remove the tree and replant a direct replacement. T2. Castanea satvia (Sweet Chestnut). Approximately 15m in height. Tree has previously had a failure in the top and also has major deadwood within the canopy. The South aspect has over extended branches (12m total length) which reach over the properties parking area and pedestrian footway. Proposal to remove major deadwood and to reduce overextended branches by approximately 4-5m to suitable growth points in accordance with BS3998. This will bring the branches back in line with the canopy. Data via plota.co.uk
