DC/26/144506 - Trees in Conservation Areas Approved

Proposal

REAR: ONE Leyland Cypress (T1)(ht.14m) FELL. Reason: sparse, uneven crown indicative of poor vigour and restricted growing conditions. REAR: ONE Leyland Cypress (T2)(ht.6m) FELL. Reason: bulky crown dominates the rear garden, significantly reduces light levels and biodiversity. Felling is to allow the garden to be reinstated with redesign including planting of 7-8 native replacement trees, including a specimen tree of ht.3m+, selected to provide shelter and food resources for birds and pollinators. Other existing trees are being retained on site ? including a mature ash, plum, hawthorn and bay ? to maintain existing wildlife habitat. The new planting has been specifically selected to encourage birds through provision of shelter and natural food sources. All arisings to be removed from site and disposed of responsibly. Informative A: the retention of existing trees, new tree planting and wildlife habitat enhancement including pond in garden redesign is hugely welcomed; additional features are encouraged including undisturbed areas, hedges, climbers, hedgehog highway holes in any new boundary fencing, bee hotels and bare soil mounds for ground nesting bees. Informative B: please create habitat log piles and hibernacula with some arisings for wildlife and biodiversity. Data via plota.co.uk

Small HMO Northern Extension. Named permitted development rights are withdrawn here.
An Article 4 direction withdraws particular permitted development rights, so work that would normally need no application needs one here. Not every council has published its directions.
