Proposal
G1 (t1, t2 and t3) - Sycamore (TPO 57 G5) - Cut the three northernmost G1 trees (t1, t2 and t3) to ground level. Do not apply herbicide to the cut stumps; root grafts could translocate it to the retained trees. Manage the subsequent regrowth by re-coppicing on a 5 - 10-year cycle. G1 (t4) Sycamore - (TPO 57 G5) - Remove the crown of the southernmost G1 tree (t4) leaving the stem and four upright primary branches approximately 6 m tall. This will provide the framework for a new compact crown to establish, with the regrowth being managed by pollarding on a 5 - 10-year cycle… Data via plota.co.uk
