26/0837/TRC - Tree Works in Conservation Area (6 Week) Withdrawn

Proposal

Fell one of the group of three - TG1 Lime trees situated at the right side of the building plot. The lime tree is located within the footprint and Root Protection Area (RPA) of the proposed development, resulting in significant and unacceptable encroachment under BS5837:2012. Construction activities would require excavation within the RPA, leading to substantial root loss and compromising the tree?s health and structural stability. Its retention would also constrain foundation design due to the species? water demand and potential subsidence risk on shrinkable soils. The tree?s proximity to the building would create future conflicts, including shading, honeydew nuisance, and pressure for ongoing management. Additionally, construction works would pose a high risk of damage to both roots and canopy. As a result, long-term retention is not considered feasible or sustainable. Data via plota.co.uk
