The site is a row of garages between Chingford Mount Road and Field Close, surrounded by residential buildings and mature trees.

“A vehicular access to the site is available from Chingford Mount Road to the west of the site which runs adjacent to the southern boundary of No.10 Chingford Mount Road. This access route also serves a vehicular in-curtilage parking space for No.10 Chingford Mount Road which lies outwith the application site. The garages to the north of the application site are accessed via a private dead-end lane to the north leading on from Field Close.”
