TC/26/00140 - Works to Trees in a Conservation Area Awaiting decision

Proposal

Fell one Silver Birch (T1) situated within a conservation area. Dismantle and remove to ground level. The tree is affected by Meripilus fungal infection and has previously sustained deliberate damage through vandalism. Meripilus causes decay of the root system, compromising structural integrity and anchorage, potentially resulting in sudden uprooting or structural failure. Given the tree?s proximity to a car park, pedestrian access areas and neighbouring property, failure could result in serious injury or significant property damage. Removal is recommended on safety grounds to mitigate the risk posed to people, vehicles and adjacent property. Data via plota.co.uk
