26/00703/TCA - Tree Work - Conservation Area Pending Consideration

Proposal

There are 2 Ash trees in the garden of Brampton Trees, close to Hanover Street boundary that appear to be diseased with Ash Dieback. This was identified by our arboriculturalist Sam Watkiss of Mammoth Tree Services. His recommendation is to remove the smaller, more diseased one (right hand side from path) and remove branches overhanging car park on the larger one due to danger of falling on people/cars. There are 2 conifers behind Brampton Mews, bordering Queens Court, that have grown too tall for the position. We want to reduce their height by approx 50-60% There is a holly bush on the car park of Brampton House which is causing a danger to pedestrians. We wish to remove this bush and a smaller one in the garden of Brampton Trees, bordering Hanover Street, as it is a small self-seeded bush that is taking away energy from the lovely beech trees.
