Proposal

T1 Box Elder Maple: Re-pollard the crown back to the previous established pollard/reduction points, removing the current regrowth and retaining the existing pollard framework.Reduce the height of ivy within the crown by approximately 1m to improve visibility of the main stem and branch structure and to prevent excessive ivy growth throughout the crown. Finished height: 5m Finished spread: 3m Justification: Routine cyclical management of a previously pollarded tree. The works will contain the current regrowth, maintain the established pollard framework and reduce excessive end loading on the regrown branches. Reduction of the ivy will assist with future inspection and management of the tree. T2 & T3 Yew Trees: Reduce the height and lateral spread of both Yew trees by approximately 1.5m on all aspects, pruning back to suitable growth points and maintaining a balanced, natural and uniform crown shape. Finished height: 6m Finished spread: 3m Justification: The works are required to contain the size and spread of the trees within their setting, maintain a balanced and manageable crown form and prevent continued encroachment onto the surrounding garden and neighbouring space. The reduction will also help retain the trees at an appropriate scale for their location while maintaining their amenity value. T4 Cherry Plum: Lightly reduce and trim the crown to tidy and contain the overall shape, pruning extended growth back to suitable growth points while maintaining a natural balanced form. Finished height: 4m Finished spread: 2m Justification: Routine maintenance to contain excessive and irregular growth, improve the overall crown form and maintain the tree at a suitable size for its location.
