2026/1993 - Tree Preservation Order Registered

Proposal

Tree Preservation Order EL: TP1 Copper Beech : Whole Crown Reduction in order to reduce risk of damage to telephone wires and gutters at my and my neighbours homes at 16 Arnison Road. Reduce approx 18 metre height by circa 3-5 metres. Increase distance from houses from 1-2 metres to circa 3-5 metres whilst maintaining overall shape. TP2 Ash: Crown Thinning : Evidence of summer branch drop due to heat and drought stress. A number of sizeable branches have fallen into my and my neighbour's garden at 20 Arnison Road. After consultation with a tree surgeon, the tree is not believed to be suffering ash dieback, but it has not been pruned in over 20 years, is now over 20 metres high and has a significant number of broken and dead branches. Application is to thin by 30%. Data via plota.co.uk

Site constraints 3

East Molesey Kent Town conservation area
Demolition needs planning permission and permitted development is restricted.
The council must give weight to preserving or enhancing the area's character and appearance. Not every council has published its boundaries as open data.

The Environment Agency flood map for planning. Councils use it to decide when a flood risk assessment and the sequential test are needed. It is indicative and does not show whether a particular property will flood.
