Proposal
FRONT: ONE Eucalyptus (T1)(ht.10m) FELL. Reason: planted 8 years ago: this has grown much more than expected, and now towers over the house and is likely the tallest tree in the street. Although it is tall the trunk is not substantial, and in any wind it tends to sway wildly, concern that in a storm the trunk will snap, causing serious damage to our property, our neighbours or vehicles parked in the street (this happened recently with one of the trees on the green, less than 100m up the road). I plan to replace this with a cherry tree, which will match many of the existing trees in the street. REAR SIDE: ONE Cherry (T2)(ht.6-7m) FELL. Reason: unfortunately this lovely old tree is almost dead, with only the uppermost branches holding any remaining foliage. This would be replaced by another cherry tree. REAR SIDE: ONE Bay tree (T3)(ht.2m) FELL. Reason: this tree is also dying, with many empty foliage areas, dieback on all sides and has already been cut back a bit for safety reasons. This will be replaced by another tree on the recommended list for the Lock Chase/Lee Park area, as proposed by the council. REAR SIDE: ONE Apple (T4)(ht.4m) CROWN REDUCE HEIGHT by 1-2m to ht.2-3m, LATERAL REDUCE by 1-2m. Reason: this will be crowned, to remove overhanging branches growing over the boundary into three neighbouring backyards. All work to be carried out by Aureus Tree Services. Data via plota.co.uk
