AT/2026/0138 - Works To Tree Within TPO Approved

Proposal

T001 - Atlas Cedar (Cedrus atlantica): Undertake a light, sympathetic lateral crown reduction of approximately 1.0-1.5 metres on the dwelling-facing aspect only in order to reduce encroachment toward the adjacent property and maintain a suitable spatial relationship with the building. Works to retain the tree's natural form and balanced crown structure, with an estimated post-work crown spread of approximately 6.5-7.0 metres on the pruned aspect and approximately 8.0 metres elsewhere throughout the retained canopy. Concurrent removal of significant deadwood over identified target areas, including adjacent dwellings and gardens, is also proposed as part of routine tree management. The proposed works are considered minor and proportionate arboricultural management intended to implement early-stage crown maintenance through small diameter pruning cuts, thereby avoiding the need for more extensive pruning works in the future. All works are to be undertaken in accordance with BS3998:2010 by suitably qualified and insured arboricultural contractors. Data via plota.co.uk
