Tree Preservation Order WAL:14/73 - T1- Pin Oak - Crown reduce by approximately 3 metres and thin canopy by 10%. Reason for works: The proposed works are requested due to a history of repeated branch failure from the crown, as evidenced within the supporting photographs. Fallen branches have previously landed within the driveway and onto parked vehicles, with further branch debris falling within the surrounding garden and property. Given the tree's proximity to the dwelling, driveway, neighbouring properties and public footway, there is concern regarding the potential for further branch failure and associated risk to people and property. A crown reduction of approximately 3 metres together with a 10% canopy thin is therefore proposed to reduce the overall size, sail area and end-weight of the crown, while retaining the tree and maintaining an appropriate balanced canopy.
