26/00685/TWA - Tree Works to TPO Tree(s) Pending Consideration

Proposal

1 x Oak tree 1 x Beech tree We would like to prune back both trees to a safe distance from the house. Both trees are dropping considerable sized branches and sticky husks which make the rear patio unusable and dangerous. Due to the over hanging branches there are massive amounts of bird droppings covering the patio which means I am unable to hang washing out or allow my granddaughters to play in the garden as it is extremely unhealthy as one is a toddler and crawling around on hands and knees making me fearful that she will put her hand in her mouth with bird faeces on it. Over the last couple of months I have collected a builders bag full of branches that have fallen. The sticky husks are falling at such large capacity, I can sweep on one day and within 2 days the whole patio is as bad as ever (I have this year kept photos to demonstrate the extreme situation that is falling). The increased overhang is also having a huge impact on the house itself in the following ways * The rear walls are totally green and require constant jet washing, which I am now unable to do at 75 * The amount of foliage makes all the rear rooms dark all day requiring lights to be on constantly which is an unnecessary cost * I am having to use a tumble dryer as washing cannot be dried outside due to the sticky husks and bird faeces At 75, considering we have had one of the nicest summers I feel I should be able to sit out and enjoy my back garden and I cannot for fear of being hit by a husk, a branch or bird faeces. I don?t want to appear dramatic but I am truly fearful of being hit by something when outside and I welcome your inspection and I feel sure you will appreciate my concerns. Data via plota.co.uk
