Front Garden (Corner, Adjacent to Church) T3: Horse Chestnut Proposed crown reduction of approximately 1.5–2 metres in height, bringing the tree from its current height of approximately 10 metres to approximately 8–8.5 metres. Lateral branches to be reduced by approximately 2 metres to rebalance the canopy and restore an even, symmetrical form. Crown to be thinned by approximately 5% to improve light penetration and air movement through the canopy. All major deadwood of 25mm diameter and above to be removed. Works to be carried out in accordance with BS 3998:2010. Reason for Works Routine management to maintain these trees in a condition appropriate to their setting within the conservation area. Works to the London planes form part of an established pollarding cycle, continuing the management regime carried out in the previous application(). The horse chestnut requires rebalancing to maintain a well-structured and even canopy form.
