26/00861/TPO - Consent for Works to Preserved Trees Awaiting decision

Proposal

01 - Sycamore (L1/W1) - Cut back lower laterals to the fence line. 02 - Robinia (L1/W1) - Reduce the lateral growing over the playground by 3m. 03 - Sycamore (L1/W1) - Cut back lower laterals to the fence line. 04 - Cherry (L1/W1) - Remove the limb growing over the shed to the fence line. 05 - Poplar (L1/W1) - Cut back lower laterals to the fence line. 01 - 05 - The above works are recommended to reduce the material falling into the School, there have been instances where the pupils have been eating the fruit and foliage that has fallen from these Trees so pruning is requires to reduce the risk of a reoccurrence of this. Whilst retaining the Trees some stems are elongated and have the potential to fail due to the heavy lean and the recommended works would also assist in reducing the risk of any future stem failures. Tree preservation order
Consent is needed before work on protected trees.
Not every council has published its orders as open data, so no order shown is not proof there is none.

Work nearby can need a habitats assessment.
Harm to a protected site is only accepted where there is no alternative and an overriding public interest.

Where habitat is joined up enough to work as a network. Context, not a constraint on its own.
