P/2026/02186/TREE - Works to Tree(s) in Conservation Area REGISTERED: Under Assessment

Proposal

Rear of no.1 T1 Magnolia x 1 (Magnolia spp) This 8m mature magnolia located in the neighbours rear garden has previously been reduced, but not for several years, its cyclical prune is now due. Suggested work: Option 1- cut back to boundary 1-1.5m up entire side Rear of no.1 T1 Magnolia x 1 (Magnolia spp) This 8m mature magnolia located in the neighbours rear garden has previously been reduced, but not for several years, its cyclical prune is now due. Suggested work Option 2:- crown reduction - reduce all round 1-2m leaving furnishing Rear T2 Amelanchier spp x 1 This 5m semi-mature Amelanchier has outgrown its location and is cutting sunlight out from the garden. Suggested work: - crown reduction- reduce all round 1m to previous reduction points, leaving furnishing growth - thin by 15% Rear T3 Cherry x 1 (Prunus spp) This 4.5m semi-mature cherry tree is being suppressed by the neighbour???s tree of heaven and is growing at a 45-degree angle. Suggested work- reduce 1.5-2m to balance crown Rear of no.5 T4 Sycamore x 1 (Acer pseudoplatanus) This 6m self-seeded sycamore tree is growing within 6m of the house. This species of tree grows very fast and in the not too distant future the lateral growth will be touching the property, potentially damaging drainage/windows. At this point the roots will have expanded to the property. London being clay base, the water uptake of large trees can lead to subsidence. Additionally roots easily find their way into drainage pipes seeking water. This will become an issue for both no.5 and no.3. Suggested work- we recommend no.5 fell and poison the self-seeded sycamore before it causes the problems stated above Data via plota.co.uk
