What was proposed

The application proposed a freestanding pergola at the rear of the public house and new doors replacing an existing window.

“The pergola would be located to the rear of the building over an existing paved area. The overall pergola would have an area of 39 sq. metres and this would be formed by joining two freestanding pergolas each with a width of 3.6 metres and depth of 5.3 metres. In total, the cojoined pergolas would have width of 7.2 metres. The pergola would be aluminium in material and would have a flat roof measuring 2.5 metres in height.”

“A new set of doors would be inserted in the rear elevation of the public house in place of an existing window. The double doors with have windows either side with a total width of 2.4 metres. The insertion of these doors is intended to improve customer access to the public house.”
