Consultation responses

Roads accepted traffic-signal changes with a six-month review, while Scottish Water had no objection and other consultees’ concerns were addressed through conditions or advice.

“NLC Infrastructure & Transportation (Roads) initially recommended the application be deferred subject to the submission of a Traffic Impact Assessment which specifically addresses the capacity of Craiglinn Roundabout and the non-signalised arm serving Ardgoil Drive which is likely to experience critical delays due to increased traffic from the development.”

“Scottish Water has no objection to the planning application. They confirm there is sufficient capacity in both the Balmore Treatments works and Dalmuir Wastewater Treatment works, with the caveat that they are unable to reserve capacity and they will review the availability of capacity when a formal connection application has been submitted.”
