“The 20ha site is part of the 125ha One Horton Heath (OHH) site. It comprises of largely agricultural land west of Horton Heath, and east of Eastleigh town.”

“The development site comprises an existing compacted stone/soil track associated with a solar farm, agricultural fields previously associated with cattle grazing and arable crop production, together with hedgerows and lines of trees, mixed scrub, a small section of woodland, a seasonally wet ditch and both modified and other neutral grassland. Site topography varies with land generally sloping gently north-westwards.”

“The application is for detailed permission for a secondary internal distributor road for the One Horton Heath site, which is subject to outline planning permission for a residential led mixed use development granted in October 2025. The outline application permits up to 2500 homes, a primary school, comprehensive open space and sports facilities, commercial land, a new local centre and associated infrastructure.”
