Officer report
What was said at committee
The Principal Planner explained the outline proposal, care-home details, highway advice, pumping stations and proposed controls in response to members’ questions.
What members discussed
Members questioned the unspecified care home’s effect on vehicle trips and the adequacy and adoption of the proposed wastewater pumping stations.
“In response to Councillor H M Williams, the Principal Planner advised that as an outline application there were currently no details of the care home, and these would come forward at the reserved matters stage. Councillor J L Pout commented that, whilst he appreciated it was an outline application, the nature of the care home was important as it would affect vehicle trip data.”
“Councillor M J Nee voiced concerns about wastewater and queried whether the proposed pumping stations would be adequate and adopted. The Principal Planner confirmed that new pumping stations were shown on the indicative plans. Southern Water and other consultees had advised on the standards required and an informative would be included on the decision notice if permission was granted.”
