“The application site is comprised of the Council depot with associated structures, storage areas and parking, which is accessed from Bengal Street (A6). It is a prominent brownfield site on the approach to the Town Centre.”

“The site lies close to the Town Centre of Chorley and in close proximity to a number of bus stops, the bus station and Chorley train station. The land is not subject to flood risk. The site falls wholly within the settlement boundary of Chorley, as defined by the Chorley Local Plan 2012 – 2026 Policies Map. In the submitted Central Lancashire Local Plan (CLLP) 2023-2041 the site is allocated for housing.”
