26/03027/TCA - Approval for works to trees in CA Awaiting decision

Proposal

T1 Lime closest to drive - Remove dead stem and deadwood over 50mm. T2 Sycamore - Remove deadwood over 50mm. - Lift to 2.5m over pavement and 5.5m over highway to meet Highways Act requirements. T3 2 x Self-sown Ash - Fell as close to ground level as possible. Self-sown and no long term future in this location in favour of well established T2 Sycamore. T4 Lime - Remove dead stem and deadwood over 50mm. - Reduce height by 2m due to concerns at the base of the stem. Council Note: This submission was registered as a conservation area notification in error. The principal works concern lime and sycamore trees protected by Group G2 of confirmed TPO No. 13 (Larkhall Rise). The TCA record is to be closed administratively and the submission referred to Validation for processing through the TPO application procedure. The Council raises no objection to removal of the two self-sown ash identified as T3, which are not included in the scheduled group. This administrative closure does not authorise works to the trees protected by the TPO. Data via plota.co.uk

Site constraints 8

Rectory Grove conservation area
Demolition needs planning permission and permitted development is restricted.
The council must give weight to preserving or enhancing the area's character and appearance. Not every council has published its boundaries as open data.
Archaeological priority area: Medieval village centre and manor house
An assessment or field evaluation may be asked for before ground works.
The council or Historic England considers archaeology likely here. A desk-based assessment, and sometimes trial trenching, can be asked for with the application.
Air quality management area: Lambeth AQMA
The council has declared the area as failing an air quality objective.
Schemes that add traffic, parking or combustion plant are assessed against the area's action plan and may need an air quality assessment.

15 listed buildings within 150 m
Nearest: 97, Larkhall Rise Sw8, Grade II, 7 m away · 1 Grade II*, 12 Grade II
The site itself is not listed. Listed building consent is needed for work that affects the special interest of a listed building, inside or out, on top of planning permission. Setting can be a consideration for buildings nearby; there is no fixed radius.

National infrastructure project 978 m away: Thames Tideway Tunnel
The site is 978 m from the project boundary. Waste water treatment, decided. The project page says whether consent was granted. Also within 2 km: London Strategic Heat Main Project (at pre-application, 1874 m).
Nationally significant infrastructure projects (power stations, electricity lines, pipelines, major roads and railways, harbours, airports and reservoirs) are consented by a Secretary of State under the Planning Act 2008, after an examination by the Planning Inspectorate, rather than by the council. The boundary is the one the Inspectorate consults on and can change as the scheme does. Projects are shown within 2 km of the site.
