Proposal

Internal alterations to the rear of the first floor comprise the removal of existing non-original internal partitions associated with the WC/shower block and kitchen within the closet wing. All fixtures, fittings, and non-original doors within these areas will be removed. Suspended ceilings will also be taken down to reinstate the original ceiling heights and proportions of the principal rooms. The proposals include the installation of a new WC and tea point, together with associated partitioning. In addition, a new opening will be formed to provide a visual and physical connection between the library/study and the rear seating area. This will be detailed with matching cornices and skirtings to ensure the works are sympathetic to, and consistent with, the character and appearance of the existing historic fabric.
