Description

1 x Pine Tree - rear garden - (Cross reference with application P/2026/01048/TREE - tree height reduced) . Fell as low as possible. In small, raised flower bed, which is shallow because it sits above a basement car park between two buildings. As a result, the tree is unlikely to have developed a substantial root system, as there is limited space for the roots to spread. The tree has already caused cracking and bowing to the retaining wall, which is likely to fail eventually if the pressure continues. The recent reduction in height has helped to reduce wind loading on the tree for the time being; however, there remains a high risk of failure, particularly if the retaining wall deteriorates further or fails.
