26/10/2421 - Tree Work Pending Consideration

Proposal

Yew trees (1) reduce back to boundary to clear(to include ivy, shrubs and other mixed species encroaching). Holly trees (2) reduce back to boundary to clear(to include ivy, shrubs and other mixed species encroaching). Acacia tree (3) reduce height and spread by 3-4 metres and reduce lowest 3 branches over building to lift. Conifer tree (4) lift conifer and trim side to give 1 meter clearance as encroaching on building roof and allow clearance. Acacia tree (5) fell acacia sucker. Eucalyptus tree (6) reduce back to boundary. Trim encroaching mixed species shrubs back to boundary. Laurel (7) coppice low to give clearance to surrounding shrubs and trim shrubs. Yew trees (8) reduce back by 1.5-2 metres on garden side, bevel in at the top. Sycamore tree (9) reduce large limb over garden by 4 metres and remove lowest righ-hand branch. Reason: To provide clearance from buildings; improve light into garden and to understory planting (very overgrown). Data via plota.co.uk

Site constraints 9

Wimbledon North conservation area
Demolition needs planning permission and permitted development is restricted.
The council must give weight to preserving or enhancing the area's character and appearance. Not every council has published its boundaries as open data.
Council document ↗
Archaeological priority area
An assessment or field evaluation may be asked for before ground works.
The council or Historic England considers archaeology likely here. A desk-based assessment, and sometimes trial trenching, can be asked for with the application.
Air quality management area: Merton AQMA
The council has declared the area as failing an air quality objective.
Schemes that add traffic, parking or combustion plant are assessed against the area's action plan and may need an air quality assessment.

Habitat network: Network Enhancement Zone 2
Where habitat is joined up enough to work as a network. Context, not a constraint on its own.
