Three storage containers at Warrington Rowing Club, Warrington Rowing Club Howley Lane, Fairfield And Howley

Summary of planning committee decision

Decided by Warrington Development Management Committee on 19 Mar 2026.

2026/00079/FULApproved

What was proposed

The rowing club sought to retain two containers and add a third for storage in the car park for three years.

“The site has 2no existing storage containers on the land in the area of the current proposal which it is intended to add to. The Club building has benefited from extensions over time since the Club’s inception in 1985.”

“Partially retrospective planning permission is sought for the retention of 2no existing storage containers to the south-eastern corner of the site which is utilised as a car park for the rowing club. 1no additional container is proposed in the same location, resulting in a total of 3no containers to be located on the site. The existing containers and that proposed are of the same dimensions of 2.5m in height, 2.4m in width and 12m in length.”
