Proposal

Whole building retrofit including lowering the existing basement floor level; internal alterations and internal wall insulation; external alterations including: A new entrance surround and door and on the front (north) facade; Rebuilding and extending the conservatory on the rear (south) facade; Replacement of the 20th century bays on the side (east) elevation with minor change to the design of the glazed door; Replacement of the parapet of the entrance wing on the front (north) facade with a bottle balustrade; A reinstatement of the basement area on the north side (to South Lodge); New Georgian style railings to all basement areas; Replacement of modern stairs in basement areas with new stairs of appropriate design; Removal of modern installations in basement areas on the north side, including bin store, canopy, exposed services, plant room door; Pitched rooflight and small dormer at roof level replacements as approved under 2025/4568/L New flat roof rooflight at eaves level; Photovoltaic panels at roof level; Plant within the roof void on north side; Upgrading the existing windows with new glazing; Replacement of 3 horned windows (which are post Georgian) (02.W10, 02.W11, 02.W12) on the second floor of the rear (South) elevation and 2 on the side (east) elevation (02.W16 and 02.W17), to match existing adjacent; Replacement of dilapidated east window at second floor (02.W-15) to match existing; and Facade and roof repairs, including the removal of modern cement mortar and render (permitted under 2025/4568/L).
