The committee’s discussion

A councillor asked why white UPVC windows had been chosen, and the officer said the materials would suit a coastal location.

“Zoe Taylor, Senior Planning Officer, presented the application for a series of external alterations to the building, including the replacement of existing windows, partial infilling of glazing, alterations to ground floor openings, installation of external cladding, and associated remedial works. There had been no updates since the publication of the report.”

“Councillor Simnett queried the choice of white UPVC windows and sought clarification of the reasoning for the choice. The Senior Planning Officer advised that whilst the applicant had not provided reasoning, the proposed materials would be suitable for a coastal location.”
