“Site Description 2.1. The site is located on land adjacent to Carlisle Road (B7078) between Poniel and Lesmahagow. The overall site comprises rough grazing and scrubland and lies approximately 3km northeast of Coalburn village centre. The area surrounding the site is predominantly rural in character, with open agricultural fields to the north, south and west. The eastern boundary of the site is formed by the B7078, with the M74 lying a short distance further to the west.”
“The nearest residential property lies approximately 400m northwest of the site, with approximately 16 further residential properties lying within 1km of the site. The Harbro feedstuff plant lies opposite the site, on the east side of the B7078.”
