Consultation and objections
The ward councillor, petition and individual representations raised concerns about traffic, noise, disturbance, lighting, ecology, security and the compound’s proximity to homes.
“Ward Member Comments Councillor Ian Lewis concerns: • The proposed site layout causing noise and disturbance near to homes on St George's Road and the bungalows between the site and Sandiways Road. • Road Safety issues from the access onto Green Lane, which is already congested. • Noise from the site welfare units and portaloos. • The site suitability for this kind of use as it is landlocked and surrounded on three sides by residential properties.”
“The proposed access to the site via the pub car park, joining traffic at the Wallasey Village/Green Lane junction, will significantly worsen existing traffic problems at this location. • The proposed accommodation units are sited in close proximity to residential properties. • The layout of the site and proposed hours of operation raise concerns regarding noise, light, and general disturbance.”
