Description

Construction of boundary wall on existing strip footing with no excavation in the ground within the Root Protection Area (RPA) of TPOs T25 and T26 (Ref: 383W). A structural bridge beam will be constructed adjacent to TPOs with no load transferred to the roots with 1.5m of the tree trunk. The wall will be built to replace the old unsafe and unstable fence. Hedges will be grown in the front of the wall to maintain its natural beauty. Construction of six numbers piles within the RPA of T25 and T26 for the rear extension as per approved planning reference DC/098128. This is a standard engineering practice adopted for building construction in the vicinity of protected trees. Discharge of condition 4 of planning application reference DC/098128 showing the area of protection for TPOs T25 and T26 during the construction of the rear extension of the dwellinghouse. TPO 383W. Protected tree 11 m away: TPO-383W, order TPO-383W
2 protected trees within 15 m. Named in a tree preservation order: work to it, its roots included, needs the council's consent first.
Root protection areas reach up to 15 m from a large tree, so an extension or new foundations this close usually needs a tree survey. Only some councils publish their single trees, and a position can be approximate: the order at the council is the definitive record, and no tree shown is not proof there is none.
