The site and its condition
Pont Pengwern is a Grade II listed stone road bridge in poor condition after a wing wall collapsed.
“This listed building consent relates to the Grade II listed Pont Pengwern, an historic stone road bridge carrying the B5382 over an unnamed tributary of the Afon Aled between Llangernyw and Denbigh.”
“The bridge is in poor condition following a collapse of the wing wall. A temporary sandbag retaining strucutre was installed in January 2025 to allow the road to be opened.”
