Variation of Condition 2 (Approved plans) of approved application granted 10.12.25 for: Proposed development of a new live fire training facility comprising of the erection of a four-storey live fire training tower with associated plant, single-storey ancillary and appliance storage building, single-storey classroom, five-storey drill tower, road traffic collision and heavy rescue training areas, equipment storage, electrical substation, vehicular parking, attenuation pond, along with hard and soft landscaping enhancements. Amendments would allow:- -Carbonaceous fire training provided within a new two-storey block and single-storey fire behaviour units; -Cleaner LPG fire training incorporated into the four-storey block; -Fire Investigation unit to be relocated to alternative ECFRS site; -Ductwork now removed from the proposed four-storey block; -Ductwork added to the new two-storey block and smoke filtration plant raised to top of two-storey block to move away from the LPG block; -Smoke extract plant added to the roof of the four-storey block for emergency cosmetic smoke clearance; -External fire spread LPG crib added to the western elevation of the four-storey block; - Roof access now added to the low level roof of the four-storey block for external fire training drills.
