Parking concerns
A further neighbour representation repeated earlier parking concerns; officers confirmed three off-street spaces were provided, above the two-space minimum.
“One more neighbour representation had been received restating the comments previously made on parking. As set out in paragraph 6.37 of the report to the meeting on 19 June 2025, the proposal involved retention of the existing 2-bedroom house and a new 2-bedroom house. The minimum off- street parking provision would be two spaces and the submitted plans showed provision above this minimum standard with three off-street spaces.”
Minutes
A biodiversity baseline point
Staplehurst Parish Council raised the Biodiversity Net Gain baseline, noting a corner tree was removed around 2018, before the baseline date of 30 January 2020.
“A representation had also been received from Staplehurst Parish Council referring to the Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) metric and pointing out that a tree was visible nine years ago from Google Street View on the corner of the plot.”
