PA/2026/0969 - Consent under Tree Preservation Orders New Application

Proposal

T1 Oak - Remove deadwood T2 Oak - Reduce tips of branch in upper crown on east side of canopy with woodpecker hole and growing over neighbouring garden by 2m – from 8m to 6m to reduce weight and risk of failure. T6 Oak - Remove deadwood T7 Oak - Selective reduction of elongated branches on east side of upper crown by 2-2.5m back to surrounding canopy profile using suitable pruning points. Cuts will be made to leave a natural-looking canopy profile. Reason: Formative pruning in light of trunk defects and leaning stem to reduce asymmetry of crown in order to improve the long-term form and structure of the tree. T8 Oak - Crown lift to create 4m canopy clearance over the neighbouring garden. • Thin / reduce new growth from tips of cut branch growing low over the neighbouring garden reducing by up to 2m and thinning by 30% (1 in 3 growth tips) to reduce density and weight of the new growth on previous reduction points. T9 Oak - Remove deadwood. • Reduce lateral branches by 2-2.5m to reduce weight and exposure of elongated branches over the garden of 3 Faithful Close following failure of another branch. The pin for this application is the centre of its postcode rather than the building, so distances to nearby designations are measured from the postcode and can be out by the width of the postcode area.
